Ingredients
300g glutinous rice
150g ripe momordica
30g liquid lard
5ml rice wine
80g green bean
15g sugar
Salt
Preparation
Soak split green beans in cold water for 6 hours; remove the husk; discard crunchy green beans.
Soak washed glutinous rice in water for 8 hours; then wash under running cold water and strain off; sprinkle rice with salt and toss lightly; add green beans and blend well.
Knead rice wine with the aril and seeds of momordica; blend with mixture of rice and green beans; then steam.
When glutinous rice is nearly cooked, sprinkle with liquid lard, add sugar and mix well. When glutinous rice is cooked, remove the seeds of momordica.
